check around the internet and there are cheap build it yourself kits that you can make the stuff for next to nothing.your main part will be pure silver wire that they say you can get from a jeweler for a couple bucks and as i recall a 9v battery.

I think that makes the silver ions, which is not the same as true colloidal silver (courtesy of Allthingsnew :D ).

Yes, I've taken silver for YEARS for different ailments including spraying a silver/water mixture deep into my sinuses to knock out a NASTY, PERSISTANT sinus infection I had once. Two rounds of antibiotics and I was still down with it, fever and all.

24 hours after doing the silver mixture the fever broke and I was on my way to recovery.

I will say that this was a silver mixture I made myself using a generator. I now understand that this is not a true colloidal silver solution but - I have to say, it sure has worked for me over the years.

When my sinuses are PACKED it sometimes takes a little work to get the solution up far enough but whenever I do it helps. HURTS unbelievably for several seconds then - just quits hurting and starts draining.

umm...what do you mean "get it up far enough" ?? Its not just something you swallow?

Oh, no, it's not swallowed - I use a nasel spray bottle - I had purchased a bottle of CS nasel spray years ago and now use that same bottle to spray my solution. I have to tip my head FAR forward (beyond horizontal to the floor) then spray - allowing the solution to penetrate deep into the frontal sinus cavety - then I SWING my head back to where I'm now facing the ceiling and even tilted a little further than that (I do all of this on the edge of a bed) allowing the solution to now go into the higher and rear reaches of the sinus passages - then I sit up and "FLUSH!" let the draining begin!!

Lewis - I don't doubt (after doing some of my own research, too) that TRUE Colloidal Silver is better than just the silver solution I've made over the years. There are some good sources, from that I heard, but pretty expensive. BUT when we're talking about the Avian Flu - what is 'expensive'??

I'm not sure it will stop it, but I imagine its just a single cell virus just like the regular flu, but one that our bodies do not have a natural immunity from.
So I went ahead a got some to try (mesosilver) I'm taking 1 tsp a day right now, and put some in a small spray bottle for my kids to spray on their faces to see how it does for their acne. Also got a bottle of Mesogold for my wife for her arthritus ( she's ready for a hip replacment now but I'd like to exhaust all options before she does that)
I know it sounds to good to be true, but all the testimonies sound good.

And another thing I thought of the other day is God made man from the dust of the earth ( I bet it wasn't just regular old dirt, but had alot of the minerals that He made like silver,gold,zinc, etc..) Just a thought but it kinda made sense to me. :D :D

I have taken colloidal silver for several years for colds, flus, etc. I purchase it from Herbal Healer Academy www.herbalhealer.com It comes in various sizes. You do ingest it. At the first sign of cold or flu I take 1/2 tsp in a glass of water twice daily. It works very well. My naturopath recommended 500 ppm strength to truly get the benefits. You have to order before cold weather sets in as it is water based and will freeze during shipping. My understanding is that Mesosilver is a trademark name. I don't know that it is something separate from what I order.

Just to avoid confusion, viruses are not cells. They are merely complex double stranded DNA, single stranded RNA or double stranded RNA all packaged up by a protein coat called a capsid. In fact, the only way they can replicate is to invade other cells and use the host cell's genome to multiply. Hope this helps! ;)

I'm a bit of a health nut too. I would like to have become physician or naturopath but I trained for teaching and now my family keeps me so busy.
Those of you using the silver: f you have really good measureable results let us know about them.

I have my family on 1000-3000mg of good ole vit. C per day and we also take tablets Camakaze made by Albi which have zinc, echinaeca, ginger, licorice, vit C and a few more goodies. We swear by these they are so effective, we are all rarely sick.

We are going to Danmark in the flu season this year for a 100th birthday so I hope to be blessed with good health for the family.

I hope I don't come across as being "mr. know-it-all" but I'm just trying to be informative.....viruses are not living organisms (at least this is widely argued). One defintion of "living" is the ability for a cell to replicate itself, i.e. multiply by copying its genetic material to produce clones more or less. Viruses cannot do this; they must hijack the host cell and use its own genome to make more viruses. Also, viruses do not need nutrients and energy like living cells. And just an fyi, oxygen is not the universal gas to sustain life. Many bacteria thrive off of other gases and some even are completely intolerant to oxygen, which are called anaerobes (although some anaerobes can somewhat tolerate the oxygen).

But at any rate, when I have more time later, I'd like to read how exactly the colloidal may actually fight off a viral attack. Again, I am just humbly passing on correct information. :)

I shared this testimony on a silver thread several years ago.
I had an area of skin on my calf (lower leg, not a baby bovine) ;) infected by a viral wart. It was approximately 1" by 2". It had formed in a scratch I received from barbed wire ("bob warr" to you Texans) :D . Dermatologist said they could surgically remove it or freeze it off, but recommended just leaving it as long as it didn't bother me. I had this for about twenty-five years, and it had very slowly gotten larger.
One evening as I was sitting watching TV, I decided to soak it with Ionic Silver. I got a paper towel, put it on the wart and kept it soaked with the solution for about two hours. I didn't think about it until about two month later, when I washed it off in the shower. That was a couple of years ago, and I can't even tell were it was.

Well I just got my CS a couple days ago so I'm excited to give it a try. I put some in a little spray bottle and told my kids to spray their face after they take a shower before they go to bed, and again in the morning when they get up. so we'll see how that goes. My wife and I take a tsp in the morning and swish it around in our mouths real good before we swallow it.

I have just been floored by all the testimonies I've read and all the people I've talked to that have had good results. Hope it goes well and I hope everyone else has good results also.
