ISRAEL GEARS UP FOR JERUSALEM SOVEREIGNTY FIGHT IN UNESCO

Israel is pushing to sway the 21 nations on UNESCOs World Heritage Committee to reject a resolution disavowing Israeli sovereignty in Jerusalem, when the committee meets in Krakow, Poland, July 2-12.

The diplomatic battle comes at the same time Israel is dealing with the American Jewish community over the centrality of the Western Wall as a global Jewish symbol.

Diplomatic sources told The Jerusalem Post, however, that they did not believe American Jewrys anger over the cancellation of an egalitarian prayer section at the Western Wall would distract Israel in its campaign for UNESCO recognition of the Jewish and Israeli connection to Jerusalem.

Jordan submitted a resolution on Jerusalem on Monday that calls to rescind all legislative and administrative measures and actions taken by Israel, the occupying Power, which have altered or purport to alter the character and status of the Holy City of Jerusalem. This includes the basic law on Jerusalem, the resolution states.

SHIN BET CHIEF WARNS OF REAL WORLD SURPRISES IF CYBER ATTACKERS GO AFTER ISRAEL
    http://www.jpost.com/Israel-News/Shi...-Israel-498049

Cyber attackers can expect real world surprises if they go after Israel, Shin Bet chief Nadav Argaman told a Tel Aviv University cyber conference on Tuesday.

Our defense does not recognize any borders... We follow threats everywhere... We connect the cyber and the physical world, Argaman said in his first public remarks on cyber issues since taking over the agency in May 2016.

We do not just wait to get hacked. We go aggressively after hackers to get them before they attack, the Shin Bet director said.

He said the agency had used cyber intelligence to stop many real world attacks, including identifying 2,000 potential lone-wolf threats in 2016.

Part of what makes the cyber threat so dangerous is that attacks are faster than most terror attacks and attackers can also re-attack quickly if their first attempt is thwarted.

MOSUL BATTLE to end in days as troops advance in Old City: Iraqi general
    http://www.reuters.com/article/us-mi...-idUSKBN19H128

The battle to wrest full control of the Iraqi city of Mosul from Islamic State will be over in a few days, the Iraqi military said on Monday, as elite counter-terrorism units fought militants among the narrow alleyways of the historic Old City.

An attempted fight-back by militants failed on Sunday night and Islamic States grip on the city, once its de facto capital in Iraq, was weakened, a senior commander said.

Only a small part (of the militants) remains in the city, specifically the Old City, Lieutenant General Abdul Ghani al-Assadi, commander of the Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS) in Mosul, told Reuters.

From a military perspective, Daesh (Islamic State) is finished, Assadi said. It has lost its fighting spirit and its balance. We are making calls to them to surrender or die.

As CTS units battled militants in the densely-populated maze of tiny streets of the Old City, which lies by the western bank of the Tigris river, Assadi said the area under Islamic State control in Mosul was now less than two sq kms.

Mosul will fall in very few days, God willing, he added.

ISIS Reportedly Distributes Disturbing Passports to Paradise in Desperate Attempt to Trick Fighters Into Suicide Missions
    http://www.faithwire.com/2017/06/27/...cide-missions/

A disturbing new report claims that ISIS terrorists have been distributing passports to paradise in a desperate effort to convince potential fighters that rewards await them in the afterlife so long as they continue to fight for the militant groups interests.

The purported passports were discovered amid ISISs attempts to retain control of the groups self-described capital in Raqqa, Syria, according to the Daily Mail.

The documents, which the outlet describes as professionally printed, are green and include gold writing, with the words Passport to Paradise on the cover as well as text of the Islamic shahada, which reads, No God but Allah, Muhammed is the Messenger of God.

Ransomware is causing severe problems for major critical infrastructure providers

ANOTHER MASSIVE RANSOMWARE OUTBREAK Is Going Global Fast

Ukraines government, National Bank, its transportation services and largest power companies are bearing the brunt of what appears to be a massive ransomware outbreak thats fast spreading across the world and hitting a significant number of critical infrastructure providers.

Regardless of the malware, the attacks are now global. Danish shipping and energy company Maersk reported a cyberattack on Tuesday, noting on its website: We can confirm that Maersk IT systems are down across multiple sites and business units due to a cyberattack. Russian oil industry giant Rosnoft said it was facing a powerful hacker attack. Major British advertiser WPP said on Facebook it was also hit by an attack, while law firm DLA Piper also confirmed it had been targeted by hackers. None of the companies offered specifics on the nature of those hacks.

Attacks on the U.S. pharmaceuticals company Merck extended to its to global offices, sources told Forbes. Both phones and PCs were out of action at Mercks Ireland offices, and employees were sent home. Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD), the U.K. subsidiary of Merck, confirmed its network was compromised. Were trying to understand the level of impact, a spokesperson said. Were trying to operate as normally as possible.

The impact initially appeared to be most severe in Ukraine, with very few instances in the U.S., according to Kaspersky. The government organization managing the zone of the Chernobyl disaster fallout said it had to switch radiation monitoring services on industrial sites to manual as they had to shut down all Windows computers. Automated systems for the rest of the zone operated normally. The main Chernobyl plant website has also been closed.

MUMMY DNA May Prove Ancient Egyptians Descended From Son of Noah Exactly as Bible Describes
    https://www.breakingisraelnews.com/9...rGZvmSpeUV0.97

In a scientific first, DNA taken from Egyptian mummies has been decoded, producing unexpected results about the true origins of the Egyptian people. These results confirm a controversial theory that traces the First Egyptian Dynasty back to Biblical Ham, as described in the Book of Genesis.

Scientists have long been baffled by the origins of the Egyptian people. Until now, there was no empirical data to clarify the issue. The study of Egypts population history could only draw on literary and indirect archaeological references, and inferences made from genetic studies of present-day Egyptians. Based on these sources, most researchers believed that ancient Egyptians came from nearby northern Africa. Egyptians today exhibit a significant sub-Saharan genetic influence.

This scientific belief long contradicted the Biblical account, which designates the forefather of Egypt as being Mizrayim, a son of Ham.
