FULL TEXT: Speaker Ryan’s Remarks at Policy Exchange in London

“In that same vein, the United States will continue to work closely with our EU friends, and chart a path forward on T-TIP negotiations. At the same time, we are committed to work with President Trump and your government to achieve a bilateral trade agreement between the United States and Great Britain.
“This is one of the bipartisan messages I bring with me: that the United States stands ready to forge a new trade agreement with Great Britain as soon as possible, so that we may further tap into the great potential between our people.

Donald Trump reveals EU trade deal more important to US than deal with Britain after Brexit

Donald Trump will prioritise the European Union ahead of Britain over free-trade deals with the US, officials have said.
The president told German chancellor Angela Merkel last month that an EU-US trade deal would be “simpler that he thought”, The Times reported.
According to the newspaper, the conversation led to a “realisation” that a trade deal with the bloc would be more beneficial to America than one with Britain.

Trump to give NAFTA talks a 'good, strong shot' after Trudeau warns of withdrawal risks

At an event in the Oval Office on Thursday morning, Trump explained his decision not to proceed with an executive order to withdraw by saying ending NAFTA would be "a pretty big, you know, shock to the system."

A Mexican movement pushes back against U.S. corn

The farmers working in arid Mexico couldn't keep up with that competition. Imports of U.S. corn put many Mexican farmers out of business. Mexico is the biggest market for U.S. corn, with producers now sending about $2.5 billion of corn to Mexico each year.

President Donald Trump's threat to abandon the North American Free Trade Agreement has US farmers worried their access to prime Canadian and Mexican export markets could shrink.

Those days are long gone imvho. You can't untangle globalization. Man can only go forward.

There will always be a struggle for employment as automation/robotics are replacing humans worldwide. Hence the struggle by the elite to come up with solutions(Basic Income and cashless trials) before it hits toooo hard.
